Lodge of Sorrow

Full of vigor we look to the West. As the sands of the hourglass run empty, we look to the East. After traversing the black and white chequered plains of life, the scythe comes to a wave. In a shallow grave we look toward the star-decked heavens. With a strong grip man is raised to the glorious and celestial Lodge above. Behold, the Supreme Architect of the Universe. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Illustrious Johnny Wynn 33°

December 5, 1946 – March 28, 2014

The Illustrious Johnny Wynn 33˚ joined Most Worshipful Obadiah Grand Lodge A. F. & A. M. under Ark & Anchor Lodge #10 in February of 2012, but he was made a Master Mason in 1981. Brother Wynn also accomplished a personal dream of his when he became part of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine in 2013.

From day one Brother Wynn was faithful to the Lodge and truly showed that he was his Brother’s keeper. He embodied the tenants of Masonry by exhibiting brotherly love, relief, and truth on a daily basis. A picture of Brother Wynn should be placed in literature next to the definition of a Master Mason, because he not only lived Masonry in his everyday life; he also fit the bill in appearance. If anyone really knew my Brother, you know that he was sharp in his dress. From the well groomed grey hairs of his head and face, that looked as if they were cut daily, to the soles of his well maintained shoes. And to see Brother Wynn in his Masonic apparel was a special treat. Any Master Mason’s dress is sharp in appearance. However, when Brother Wynn donned his black and white, it was something extra special about it that no Mason could match.

Above Brother Wynn’s unsullied character and dapper appearance, his love for Christ shined the most. He never hesitated to let a person know what Jesus had done for him. And that is what we will miss the most.
